Audio Visual User Support Engineer

Note: Experience commissioning newly installed audio visual conference room technology and ability to hands on troubleshoot and break/fix is a must. Some experience designing AV solutions and using Auto-Cad is a nice to have.

A leading provider of Audio Visual integration and support is looking for an experienced AV/IT User Support Engineer to be an on-site and remote Subject Matter Expert (SME) for their clients in the financial/law services sector in Manhattan, NY. 

Previous experience providing AV/IT field support for banking/financial or law institutions in this capacity is required.

This position will be responsible for infrastructure level support of all AV systems including Microsoft Teams Room Systems, as well as Crestron, Cisco and Polycom systems.

Duties:

  • Perform both on-site and remote access support and troubleshooting on all AV and UC equipment that requires attention.

  • Responsible for all end user client training and best practices for all AV and UC equipment.

  • Responsible for an advanced level of support as well as keeping an eye out for potential problems and fixing before they become an issue.

  • Responsible for provisioning systems on VC infrastructure and Codec configurations

  • Responsible for uploading Code to AV devices, including Crestron among others.

  • Responsible for timely and detailed communication with client as well as with employer in a global environment. This will include representation in key stake holder meetings.

  • Responsible for on-site room surveys to review  AV/UC inventory and look for any potential problems and fix. 

  • Responsible for reading and understanding architectural drawings as you will work with the design teams

  • Responsible for conducting continuing product research including Crestron, Cisco, Polycom, Extron, MS Teams Rooms to stay up to date.

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as ability to work independently.
  • Must have a high level of customer service as will be primarily working on site for a customer in their environment.
  • Responsible for documenting all issues as well as creating user guides.

  • Responsible for Commissioning AV/UC Systems and be the point of contact to ensure all systems are operating correctly within guidelines and timelines.
